I've always prided myself on grilling my steaks "naked". No sauce, no seasoning and no rubs. As it turns out; you can teach an old dog new tricks and I'm better for learning them.
When it comes to the perfectly grilled steak, I now do 3 things differently:
Don's Steak Butter Recipe
2 teaspoons of minced garlic, roasted if possible
2 tablespoons softened butter
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Stir all ingredients until combined. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Also wonderful for sautéing mushrooms!
